Outstanding Professional Developer Nominees for this award have made significant contributions or achieved significant "wins" in the designated time frame that will leave a lasting impact on the economic health of their communities, thus increasing the quality of life for residents.
Outstanding Volunteer Developer Nominees for this award do not hold a paid economic development position but have donated countless hours in the designated time frame to improve and/or enhance the economic growth within their communities.
Outstanding Ambassador Nominees for this award have diligently and successfully assisted Nominees for this award have diligently and successfully assisted in building a global business network for North Dakota's future through their advocacy of the state. Nominees must be a North Dakota Ambassador (visit www.ExperienceND.com).
Outstanding Innovator Nominees for this award have used their innovative ideas to bring successful economic development opportunities to one or more North Dakota communities.
Outstanding Project Nominees for this award are primary sector** projects that have made a significant contribution to the economic health of their communities (large or small) in terms of job creation, partnerships and overall economic impact. The projects must have been publicly announced with a complete financial package.
**Primary sector is defined as an individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership or association through which the employment of knowledge or labor adds value to a product, process or service that results in the creation of new wealth. This most often includes manufacturing, food processing and information technology businesses and usually excludes retail establishments.
